In the Subaru Ascent, when the select lever is moved into the "R" (Reverse) position, you gain access to customizable settings for the Reverse Automatic Braking (RAB) system directly through the center information display. This allows the driver to conveniently enable or disable key safety functions depending on driving conditions and personal preference.

When the ON icon is displayed on the screen, it indicates that the selected feature in your Subaru Ascent is currently active and functioning. To deactivate it, simply press and hold the ON key until the system switches to OFF mode.
Conversely, if the OFF icon is shown, the feature is disabled. Pressing and holding the OFF key will reactivate the system and restore its functionality within the Subaru Ascent safety suite.
Whenever either the Automatic Braking function or the Sonar Audible Alarm is turned OFF, the system will clearly notify the driver by illuminating the corresponding indicators on the display.

These indicators will automatically turn off again once the respective function is re-enabled, ensuring that the driver always has up-to-date status information for the Subaru Ascent safety systems.
NOTE
Additionally, the following settings can also be configured through the center information display to further personalize the Subaru Ascent driving experience.
