Subaru Ascent 2018-2026 Owner's Manual: Disabling keyless access function

WARNING

If you use an implanted pacemaker or defibrillator, it is strongly recommended to disable the Subaru Ascent keyless access function by following the procedure described in the section "By operating the driver's door". Avoid disabling the system via the access key fob, as radio waves emitted by the Subaru Ascent transmitter antennas may interfere with the proper operation of medical devices.

When the Subaru Ascent will not be used for an extended period, or if you prefer to manually control access, the keyless access system can be safely disabled to conserve battery life and enhance control over vehicle access.

NOTE
