The Subaru Ascent allows you to customize the alarm system by switching between activation and deactivation modes. This flexibility enables you to adapt the vehicle’s security behavior to your specific needs.
To modify the Subaru Ascent alarm system settings, follow these steps carefully:
1. First, disarm the Subaru Ascent alarm system. Refer to the section "Disarming the system" for detailed instructions.
2. Sit in the driver’s seat of your Subaru Ascent and ensure that all doors, the rear gate, and the engine hood are fully closed.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
4. Press and hold the "
"
button on the driver’s power door locking switch. While holding the button, open
the driver’s door within 1 second, and continue holding the switch for approximately
10 seconds. The Subaru Ascent system will then switch between activation and deactivation
modes accordingly.

NOTE
If preferred, this Subaru Ascent alarm system configuration can also be performed by an authorized SUBARU dealer.
