In the Subaru Ascent, the power folding mirror switch allows convenient control of the exterior mirrors, and it functions only when the ignition switch is in the "ON" or "ACC" position.
To fold the outside mirrors inward, press the power folding mirror switch once. To return the mirrors to their normal driving position, press the switch again. This feature is especially useful when parking in tight spaces or navigating narrow areas with the Subaru Ascent.
NOTE
Wait briefly before operating the switch again to allow the system to reset.
Power folding door mirror function (if equipped)
The Subaru Ascent is equipped with an automatic folding feature that enhances convenience during vehicle locking and unlocking. When the power folding mirror switch is set to the unfolded position, the mirrors will automatically fold inward when the ignition is turned OFF and the doors are locked.
Conversely, the mirrors will automatically return to their normal position when the doors are unlocked, ensuring that the Subaru Ascent is ready for driving without requiring manual adjustment.
NOTE
For additional configuration options, refer to the "Car settings" section or consult an authorized SUBARU dealer.
Dealer assistance is recommended for precise adjustment of system behavior.
The power folding mirror system in the Subaru Ascent is designed to provide both convenience and protection, helping reduce the risk of mirror damage in confined spaces while ensuring effortless operation through intelligent control and automatic functions.
