Subaru Ascent 2018-2026 Owner's Manual: Loading your vehicle
WARNING
- Never allow passengers to sit or ride in the cargo area of the Subaru
Ascent, especially on folded rear seatbacks. This practice is extremely dangerous
and can result in serious injury in the event of sudden braking or a collision.
- Do not stack luggage or cargo higher than the top of the seatbacks in
your Subaru Ascent. Items positioned too high can easily shift forward during
abrupt stops or accidents and may cause injury. Always place cargo as low as
possible and keep it close to the floor for maximum stability.

WARNING
- Whenever transporting items inside the Subaru Ascent, secure them properly
to prevent movement. Unsecured cargo may be thrown around inside the cabin during
sudden maneuvers, posing a risk to all occupants.
- Avoid placing heavy loads on the roof of the Subaru Ascent. Roof-mounted
cargo raises the center of gravity and increases the likelihood of rollover,
especially during sharp turns or emergency maneuvers.
- Long or bulky items must be fastened securely to prevent them from sliding
forward. Improperly secured objects can become dangerous projectiles during
sudden stops.
- Never exceed the specified load limits of the Subaru Ascent. Overloading
can damage suspension and drivetrain components, ухудшити керованість та призвести
до втрати контролю над автомобілем.
- Do not place objects on the extended cargo area cover. In the event of
a sudden stop, these items may slide forward and cause serious injury.
CAUTION
Avoid carrying hazardous materials such as aerosol cans, flammable liquids,
or corrosive substances inside the Subaru Ascent. These items may pose safety risks
under certain conditions.
NOTE
For improved fuel efficiency and reduced wear on the Subaru Ascent, avoid
carrying unnecessary cargo whenever possible.
