The sun visors in the Subaru Ascent are designed to reduce glare from sunlight and improve driving visibility. Simply lower the visor to block direct sunlight from the front.
For side protection, swing the visor downward and pivot it toward the side window.

When positioned along the side window, the Subaru Ascent visor can be extended further by sliding it toward the rear. This helps block sunlight entering through the gap between the visor and the center pillar.
To extend the visor, pull it gently toward the rear. When finished, return it to its original position by pushing it forward.

CAUTION
Do not slide the sun visor across the windshield in the Subaru Ascent, as it may obstruct your view of the rearview mirror and reduce driving safety.
Vanity mirror with light
CAUTION
Always keep the vanity mirror cover closed while driving the Subaru Ascent to avoid glare that could distract or impair visibility.

To use the vanity mirror in the Subaru Ascent, lower the sun visor and open the mirror cover. The integrated lights will automatically illuminate, providing clear visibility for personal use.
Close the cover after use to turn off the lights and prevent unnecessary battery usage.
NOTE
Extended use of the vanity mirror lighting in the Subaru Ascent while the engine is off may lead to battery discharge. Always monitor usage when the vehicle is not running.
The Subaru Ascent interior lighting and sun visor systems are thoughtfully designed to enhance visibility, convenience, and passenger comfort, ensuring a practical and user-friendly cabin environment in all driving situations.
