In the Subaru Ascent, the overhead console provides a convenient storage area located above the front seats. To open it, gently press upward on the lid at the "PUSH" marking, and the compartment will automatically release and open smoothly.
WARNING
Do not operate the overhead console while driving the Subaru Ascent. Taking your attention away from the road can lead to dangerous situations and may result in serious injury or accidents.
CAUTION
Improper handling can reduce the durability of the overhead console components.
Cabin view mirror

The Subaru Ascent is equipped with a cabin view mirror integrated into the overhead console, allowing the driver to monitor rear-seat passengers without turning around.
To access the cabin view mirror, lightly press the "PUSH" mark on the console lid. The mirror will automatically deploy for convenient viewing.

After use, gently push the lid back to the halfway position to close the mirror compartment securely.
NOTE
If you need to access the overhead console while the cabin view mirror is open in the Subaru Ascent, first close the mirror lid completely, then press the "PUSH" mark again to open the storage compartment properly.
