When an unexpected situation occurs and you must stop your Subaru Ascent, always activate the hazard warning flashers to clearly alert other road users, regardless of whether it is day or night.
Whenever possible, avoid stopping directly on the roadway. Instead, carefully maneuver your Subaru Ascent to a safe location off the road to minimize the risk of a collision.
The hazard warning system can be engaged at any time, even if the ignition switch is not in the active position, ensuring that your Subaru Ascent remains visible to surrounding traffic.
To activate the system, press the hazard warning switch once. Press it again to turn the system off after the situation is resolved.
NOTE
While the hazard warning flashers are active, the turn signal function of the Subaru Ascent will be temporarily disabled.
