NOTE
For Subaru Ascent models equipped with the "keyless access with push-button start system", refer to the dedicated section for detailed operation and advanced functionality.
The Subaru Ascent is supplied with a set of keys designed to provide convenient and secure access to various vehicle systems and compartments.

These Subaru Ascent keys can be used for multiple essential vehicle operations, including:
The valet key provided with the Subaru Ascent is specifically designed to limit access. It operates only the ignition switch and door locks, allowing you to securely lock the glove box when handing your vehicle over to valet parking services.
NOTE
The Subaru Ascent remote keyless entry system allows door locking and unlocking via integrated buttons on the key, providing additional convenience.
CAUTION
Do not attach oversized keychains or heavy accessories to your Subaru Ascent keys. While driving, such items may swing and strike your knees, potentially causing the ignition switch to move from the "ON" position to "ACC" or "LOCK", which could unexpectedly stop the engine.
Key number plate
Each Subaru Ascent key set includes a key number plate stamped with a unique identification code. Record this number and store it in a safe place outside the vehicle. This information is essential for obtaining replacement keys in case of loss or lockout.
