Subaru Ascent 2018-2026 Owner's Manual: Headlight beam leveler

The Subaru Ascent is equipped with high-performance LED headlights, which provide significantly greater illumination compared to traditional halogen systems.

When carrying heavy loads, the angle of the headlights may shift upward, potentially causing glare for oncoming drivers. To counteract this, the Subaru Ascent features an automatic headlight beam leveler that continuously adjusts the beam height to maintain optimal illumination and minimize glare.

CAUTION

In certain situations, such as after transporting the Subaru Ascent on a flatbed truck or parking on uneven terrain, the headlights may become misaligned. In such cases, the automatic leveling system may not fully correct the beam angle. It is recommended to have the alignment inspected and adjusted by a SUBARU dealer if necessary.
