Subaru Ascent 2018-2026 Owner's Manual: Folding down the seatback

WARNING

1. Store the seatbelt buckle.

Subaru Ascent third row seatbelt holder and buckle storage

2. Place the window-side seatbelt into the holder to prevent damage during seat folding.

Remove it from the holder before using the seat again.

3. Lower the headrest to its designated storage position.

4. While pulling the straps, fold down the seatbacks.

5. To return the seatbacks to their original upright position, push them up from inside the vehicle or pull the strap from the cargo area. Ensure the seatbacks lock firmly into place before use.
