Subaru Crosstrek Service Manual: Dtc b16f8 satellite safing sensor recognition error

Diagnosis start condition:

Ignition voltage is 10 V to 16 V.

DTC detecting condition:

• Satellite safing sensor is misinstalled.

• Airbag control module is faulty.

1.REPLACE SATELLITE SAFING SENSOR.

1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF, disconnect the battery ground cable, and wait for 60 seconds or more.

2) Replace the satellite safing sensor with a genuine sensor. Satellite Safing Sensor > REMOVAL">

Does the warning light go off?

Finish the diagnosis.

Replace the airbag control module. Airbag Control Module > REMOVAL">
