AIRBAG SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS) > Diagnostic Chart with Trouble Code

DTC B16F6 CURTAIN AIRBAG SENSOR RH RECOGNITION ERROR

Diagnosis start condition:

Ignition voltage is 10 V to 16 V.

DTC detecting condition:

Curtain airbag sensor RH is misinstalled.

Airbag CM is faulty.

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to “CAUTION” in “General Description”. General Description > CAUTION">

STEPCHECKYESNO

1.REPLACE CURTAIN AIRBAG SENSOR (RH).

1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF, disconnect the battery ground cable, and wait for 60 seconds or more.

2) Replace the curtain A/B sensor (RH) with a genuine sensor. Curtain Airbag Sensor > REMOVAL">

Does the warning light go off?

Finish the diagnosis.

Replace the airbag control module. Airbag Control Module > REMOVAL">
