When the Subaru Ascent alarm system is armed, it will be triggered if any of the following components are opened without authorization:
Once triggered, the Subaru Ascent alarm system will activate the following alerts:
If the intrusion condition persists (for example, if a door remains open), the Subaru Ascent horn may continue sounding for up to 3 minutes. If the door, rear gate, or hood is closed while the alarm is active, the horn will stop after a short delay of up to 30 seconds.
NOTE
The Subaru Ascent alarm system can also be configured to activate interior lighting for additional visibility when triggered.
By default, this interior lighting notification feature is disabled in the Subaru Ascent. It can be activated by a SUBARU dealer upon request.
