REMOVAL
1. Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. Automatic Transmission Assembly > REMOVAL">
2. Remove the inhibitor switch. Inhibitor Switch > REMOVAL">
3. Remove the oil pan and oil strainer. Oil Pan and Strainer > REMOVAL">
4. Shift the manual plate to “N” range, and remove the spring pin.
NOTE:
Prevent the spring pin from dropping in the transmission using paper towel etc.

5. Remove the detent spring.

6. Remove the bolt, and remove the shifter arm shaft.
NOTE:
Do not damage the lip of oil seal press-fitted in the case.

7. Remove the manual plate from the shifter arm shaft, and remove the shift connecting rod of the manual valve.

8. Remove the manual plate and parking rod.
9. Remove the manual valve.

10. Remove the extension case. Extension Case > REMOVAL">
11. Remove the parking support.
