The Subaru Ascent allows rear passengers to adjust climate settings either through the rear climate control panel or via the central information display.
To access rear climate control settings on the display, tap the rear climate control mode indicator.
Locking and unlocking the rear climate control panel (if equipped)
To prevent unintended adjustments by rear passengers in the Subaru Ascent, the rear climate control panel can be locked using the central display.
Activate the lock by selecting "LOCK" on the rear climate control screen.

the controls are disabled.
To restore rear passenger control, tap "LOCK" again to unlock the system.
Airflow mode selection
Rear airflow direction in the Subaru Ascent can be adjusted using either the rear control panel or the central display interface.
Available airflow modes include:

Ventilation: Air is directed through the rear vents toward passengers.

Heat: Warm air is directed toward the footwell area beneath the rear side trim.

Bi-level: Airflow is split between the rear vents and the lower foot outlets, balancing temperature distribution.

Rear passengers in the Subaru Ascent can adjust temperature using either the touchscreen interface or physical buttons on the rear control panel.

To turn off the rear climate control system
To deactivate the rear climate system in the Subaru Ascent, use the ON/OFF control on the central display or press the corresponding button on the rear climate panel.
