- In the Subaru Ascent, using low-quality fuel or unsuitable fuel additives may negatively affect engine performance and potentially cause damage to the fuel system.
- At certain fuel stations, especially in mountainous or high-altitude regions, gasoline labeled as regular may have an octane rating below 87 AKI (90 RON). Such fuel is not recommended for use in the Subaru Ascent.
