DTC P0141 O2 SENSOR HEATER CIRCUIT BANK 1 SENSOR 2

Refer to DTC P0037 for diagnostic procedure. Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) > DTC P0037 A/F / O2 HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW BANK 1 SENSOR 2">

1. OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS

Detect malfunction of the rear oxygen sensor heater.

Judge as NG if it is determined that the rear oxygen sensor impedance is large by observing the engine conditions.

A/F sensor element impedance

≤ 82 ?

A/F sensor heater control duty

≤ 75 %

Rear oxygen sensor heater control duty

< 70 %

4. GENERAL DRIVING CYCLE

Perform the diagnosis continuously after 1000 ms or more have passed since the engine started.

5. DIAGNOSTIC METHOD

If the duration of time while the following conditions are met is longer than the time indicated, judge as NG.

Measured secondary oxygen sensor heater control voltage

12 V battery system voltage ? 0.88 V

Time needed for diagnosis: 4 ms ? 2500 times

Malfunction indicator light illumination: Illuminates when malfunction occurs in 2 continuous driving cycles.
